“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emerson had it right when he said that famous quote. Part of our KBC Vision is to join God’s mission in the world. Part of that mission is having compassion upon and sharing the love of God with the world around us and one way we can share that love is by helping others who are in need.

In our communities, there are many wonderful service opportunities: food pantries, beautifying parks, homeless missions, mentoring at-risk students, or tutoring young kids who are struggling in school. In the case of tutoring, we have this incredible opportunity to sow love, impart knowledge, and give hope to these young lives. In doing so, we not only help set children up for future success, but we also show their families an unconditional love they may have never experienced.
And not only will they be blessed by your selfless giving, but I guarantee YOU will be blessed as well. There is no better feeling than seeing someone, who is seemingly hopeless, light up with joy when given a gift – no strings attached.
So, my friends, please consider giving of your time and talents to help some of the most vulnerable in our community.
